Year in Review 2025 🔁 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣5️⃣

As 2025 draws to a close, it’s a moment for reflection and gratitude here at www.seetheair.org. This year, our journey to champion better air quality, both indoors and outdoors, has reached new and exciting heights.

While I published slightly fewer articles than in the previous year, the commitment of our readership remained incredibly strong. I’m thrilled to report that our total visits for the year held nearly steady, hitting an impressive 209,000 visits! It’s a powerful testament to the value of dedicated content and your unwavering interest in the air we breathe.

A Historic Shift in Global Reach

The most striking development of 2025 was a monumental shift in our global audience. For the first time ever, in the last three months of the year, visits from China have absolutely skyrocketed, replacing the USA as the number one country to visit the blog.

This surge appears to be a very organic and powerful movement. We see constant, daily visits, but no specific referring site to credit. A huge welcome to all our new readers in China—your engagement is truly inspiring!

This year’s top five visiting countries were:

  1. China
  2. USA
  3. Germany
  4. UK
  5. Canada

The Content That Mattered Most

You voted with your clicks, and here are the top 5 most-visited articles of 2025:

  1. GO AQS and ASIC 2025 on Technology & Air Quality (Join Us in Thailand!)
  2. Review: aranetRn+ – A Deep Dive into Radon Awareness
  3. A DIY Ventilation Solution for Renters
  4. From Rest to Rigor: How Our Air Needs Change with Activity
  5. Moving from Tech-Focused Air Quality Monitoring to Societal-Centric Digital Twin Solutions

It’s clear that while new technology is important, practical, everyday solutions for renters (retrofit) and critical health awareness (like radon) resonate deeply. Furthermore, the highest-clicked external link from the site this year was towards the app Breathe – Luftqualitäts monitor by Tobias Totzek, highlighting the demand for tools that put real-time air quality data directly into your hands.

The Global Open Air Quality Standards (GO AQS) Mission

This year, above all, my focus has been on the Global Open Air Quality Standards (GO AQS). This is not just a technical pursuit; it is a deep-seated belief that all people around the world have the right to the same high standards and the same good air quality, particularly indoors, where we spend the majority of our time.

By working to create an open set of standards for all, we want to allow information to flow freely, eliminate proprietary barriers, and ultimately, ensure that a fundamental human right—the right to clean air—is universally accessible.

Thank you for visiting the blog, for sharing my passion, and for being part of the movement for better air indoors and outdoors. Your support fuels this work every single day.

Cheers to a healthy and air-aware 2026!
