Sotirios and Arabella thanks for this podcast, very illuminating on the issues faced in Melbourne. While a lot of work seems to have been done on traffic and vehicle emissions the points you make about the barbies, wood burning stoves and other ‘traditional’ and so acceptable emissions are very important. Recent air quality in Sydney shows the effect of preventative burning to limit bushfires – nothing compared to full fires themselves but this should provide motivation to limit preventable biomass burning.
